Dornier Group wins project “Energy Efficiency in Municipalities II” for the cities of Kharkiv and Zhytomyr (Ukraine)

The successful and efficient work of the Dornier Consulting team in Ukraine was decisive for the company having been awarded the contract for the project “Energy Efficiency in Municipalities II”, which is financed by KfW within the framework of German-Ukrainian financial cooperation.

The primary objective of the project is to provide engineering and consulting services in the preparation of feasibility studies for investment projects aimed at improving energy efficiency in public transport in Kharkiv and Zhytomyr.

Implementation of the investment projects will ensure reliability, availability and safety of power supply and distribution systems for the main public transport networks.

In addition, the project will contribute to improving the transport conditions, including increasing transport capacity, improving traffic stability and safety, and cutting CO₂ emissions.

On Thursday, July 08, 2021, a kick-off meeting was held in Zhytomyr with representatives from the relevant departments of Zhytomyr City Administration, municipal enterprises, representatives of KfW Bank, and two German consulting companies, Dornier and VPC, which will work on the project for one year. The kick-off meeting at Kharkiv, the second project location, followed swiftly on Tuesday, July 13, 2021.

Dornier Consulting has deployed its best experts to support this strategic project in Ukraine and is shouldering a great responsibility for implementing the most effective energy efficiency solutions in public transport.
