From now on, Carina Passarge and David Koslowski will explain what actually happens to a nuclear power plant after it has been taken off the grid in our german speaking podcast „Nuklearer Rückbau – Der Letzte reißt das Kraftwerk ab!“
In the first episode, we reveal what is meant by the term “radioactivity”, what ionizing radiation is and what dangers radioactive substances pose. Two more episodes will follow next week talking about the legal basis for dismantling nuclear power plants and the different types of reactors.
